The SoMA Art Media Hub will be the site of the October Gainesville Arts Market, tomorrow (Saturday, Oct. 16) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
I’ll be there selling my flutes and kanteles and a collection of my small art pieces that are great for gifts.
My colorfully painted stones are just right for helping manage a stack of paperwork or, with a magnet, for securing a special photo or the grocery list on the frig.
My wearable art wood pendants provide a unique up-cycled addition to a blouse or sweater.
The Faerie Doors are created to provide an opportunity for the owner’s imagination to determine who is living behind the door — from the tooth fairy to one of the Borrowers from Mary Norton’s books about tiny people who live live behind tiny doors.
I look forward to meeting and talking with other local artists and crafts people — and to sharing my musical instruments and small art with you.
The SoMA is such a creative setting, with a display of a local artist’s work and always some new art product. SoMA is located at 601 South Main Street, part of the art district and creative scene.
